It was en-route to Bangor, Maine, USA. There were three crew and two passengers on board. There are no known survivors. The Airport Fire Service reached the aircraft within one minute of the incident occurring. The Airport, the UK's fifth largest, is expected to be closed for some time. Passengers expecting to fly from Birmingham today should contact their airline.
