I'm not a pilot, but after a 50 year career in research and development =
on instruments, I'm glad I'm not.

The cited regulation reads, in part:=20

"Note the variation between the known field elevation and the altimeter =
indication. If this variation is in the order of plus or minus 75 feet, =
the accuracy of the altimeter is questionable and the problem should be =
referred to an appropriately rated repair station for evaluation and =
possible correction. "

"In the order" of my foot! If it is greater than 75 feet, fix the damn =
altimeter!

Happy New Year
