Gerry,
         That is the wonderful thing about the FARs.  That gray area means:

To the pilot, jeez, its getting pretty far off at sixty feet, I better write
it up and get it fixed.
To the company, its only 75 feet off, what are those whining, overpaid pilots
complaining about.

If you don't believe me, I can list several hundred times I have seen either
"opscheck normal, could not duplicate (CND), or within limits at this time"
as a sign off for a maintenance squawk for everything from the tires to the
beacon on the fin.
