I did not have time to try it yet. I just read the code and I have one

Your code download n packages at time, no matter from where it come.
I would rather see one queue per repository and start each thread for
each repository and its queue. So I will be downloading multiple
packages from multiple urls (and multiple servers), which will much
better then downloading n packages at time from repo A and then n
packages at time from repo B.
