Open a command prompt.
dig {or ping} the sites you are trying to connect to:
dig rpm.livna.org
It seems like you don't have domain name to ip address resolution
working properly.

Well, that looks normal.
If you use your web browser to try to view the links that yum is having
trouble with, does it work ?
You need a bit of debug info from yum:
yum -d 15 check-update
might give enough debug to see what isn't working ?
