Well, I usually prefer to manually verify what YUM is going to do. And
anyway, suppose we need to update a box with a very slow modem connection.
This speed does not prevent from resolving the package dependencies, but
nobody of sober mind would ever attempt to upgrade, say, openoffice via
this link. One can wget all files to a different (xDSL-connected) machine
and bring all packages on a CD. This is where the list of package URLs is
very convenient...
