OK, Mr. TheFinn, I'll help you out. You should look at the front page at http://rpm.livna.org, where you'll see a big red box marked as 'Important'. The box says, as Nigel did earlier, that you have to have the fedora.us repository in your yum.conf along with rpm.livna.org. Is fedora.us in your complete list of repositories? Oh my. It isn't. :) As I see it, the yum dependency resolution worked just fine, many thanks to Seth! Now let's all just calm down, or I will simply turn this car right around and *nobody* will get any ice cream. -lars >From TheFinn <thefinn@xxxxxxxxxx>, Tue, Jul 27, 2004 at 02:03:57AM +1000: > Let me quote from https://lists.linux.duke.edu/mailman/listinfo/yum > "A list for the discussion of the Yum rpm updater." > > Thus I am on topic. > > I also posted the entire list of the output of yum, let me do so again: > Gathering header information file(s) from server(s) > Server: atrpms Redhat Packages (stable) > Server: Red Hat Linux 9 - i386 - Base > Server: Red Hat Linux 9 base > Server: Red Hat Linux 9 - i386 - freshrpms > Server: Legacy utilities for Red Hat Linux 9 > Server: Livna.org Compatible Packages (stable) > Server: My Local Yum Repository > Server: Red Hat Linux 9 - Updates > Server: Red Hat Linux 9 updates > Finding updated packages > Downloading needed headers > Resolving dependencies > .......Unable to satisfy dependencies > Package gstreamer-plugins needs libfame-0.9.so.0, this is not available. > > > So, as I understand it, libfame-0.9.so.0 isn't on my linux server.
