Maybe he meant to ask how to force all your systems to install a new
package.

A common way to solve this problem is:

Let all your systems have a local package installed, say "mylocal".
Update "mylocal" when you want, add a "Requires: gimp" if you want
to pull in "gimp" the next update check on all systems.

Of course, you can have different "mylocal"-type packages, for
different system profiles.
