That's what I ment. Download and cache the RPM, but do NOT install them. Because if there is a problem during installation I won't be in front of the server to fix it. When I come back the next day, I'll have all the needed RPM in the cache, so I can run the installation to watch for errors. I've been upgrading my servers this way with apt since RH 7.2, but i'd prefer to use yum... ;) > but I was under the impression that someone was working on a yum > retrieve patch.
