Are you using PXE? I ran into a similar problem before... I was using PXE before and it would get it's first DHCP address fine, and d/l the initrd and kernel. After that happened, the network card was re-initialized by the NIC's module so it took about 30 seconds for the cisco switches to re-negotiate with the NIC. I ended up hard coding a 30 second sleep into Red Hat's initrd right before it tries to load Anaconda. You'll have to look at the anacond-devel package, and look for loader.c (if I recall correctly), that's the file you want to edit and recompile. James James S.
