Johnny, what are you upgrading?  RH 6.2 or RH 7.0? 
Also, does your kickstart file specify specific 
packages to upgrade?  Does the list include rpm?

I don't think that the error is coming from python.
I couldn't see a reference to headerLoad in
the python sources.  But, there is a reference to
headerLoad and header.c in rpm.  Could this be some
sort of incompatability between rpm 3.X and rpm 4.X? 
Does anyone know if anaconda uses the rpm
it finds under /mnt/sysimage, or  would it
use the rpm which is included in ramdisk?
