problem with network adapter in RH 6.2

Hi.

I've been struggling with the kickstart installation for the past weeks and
am getting a tad frustrated. I've checked the HOWTO, man page, configuration
file, etc.

In the configuration file generated with mkkickstart the format of network
configuration is:

network --static --ip foo --netmask --gateway

The above fails at install stage, the python script won't let me continue
the install.

Judging from the error messages I get from the installer programme,
the settings should be ip=foo netmask=bar gateway=baz nameserver=zut

If I use this format the installer works fine, but I'm given a dhcp IP.

Can anyone shed some light, please? :>

I'm using the boot image from April 7th and am doing a CD install.

regards and TIA,
d
