Goal: To perform an NFS Kickstart using DHCP. More specifically, to only use a network capable kernel to boot the target install machine and to grab the ks.cfg and Linux installation tree from a server. Setup: o I created a boot disk using bootnet.img o At the boot prompt, I am typing: linux ks o I can see that it is grabing the Kickstart file from the server (so at this point, the DHCP is working) o I can also see that it is mounting the Linux installation tree from the server o Then, I am getting the following messages: On the F1 screen: failed to read /modules/module-info install exited abnormally sending termination signals...done sending kill signals...done disabling swap... unmounting filesystems... /mnt/source /tmp/nfskd /dev/ptsxt /proc you may safely reboot your system On the F3 screen: getting ready to spawn shell now cannot open shell - /bin/sh doesn't exist It almost sounds like the chroot'ed environment is not being set properly when the ramdisk (initrd.img) is being mounted. Just a guess. Any suggestions??? Thanks, Jordan S. Jacobs, Vice President I.D.E.A.L.
