 Personally, I'm not worried about the complexity.  There are already a
 number of anchor links with href attributes in the current po file, and
 they were no problem to me.

 When it comes to the retranslation, it isn't possible to automate this?
 If it would be possible to amend all current translations with the img
 tag, and the source in sync, nothing would change initially.  And where
 appropriate, translations could be improved later on.  But I don't know
 much about the infrastructure here, maybe that is overly complicated?

 Otherwise, I can bring it up on the mailing list.  (Tomorrow, it's late in
 this time zone. :-))
