Doing as you suggest, ping succeeds but Firefox still does not connect with or without the :80.

Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at 192.168.11.1.

My Viasat system quit working earlier and I've been unable to work on this most of the day ... It is usually very reliable but it seems I have offended the gods recently.
