If you have both the i686 and x86_64

I lost the top of this thread. Did
you do
$ sudo dnf system-upgrade
download --allowerasing --refresh
--releasever=26
to start the upgrade? Note the reboot
doesn't do any downloads--it
just installs the RPMs already
downloaded via the "dnf system-upgrade
download" command.

We have been having near continuous
t-storms all night it seems and rain
kills my path to the satellite but it
appears to have let up so I am trying
the command line [again] as suggested.
I first dnf removed gedit which took
out the i686 files and did:
dnf system-upgrade download
--allowerasing --refresh --releasever=26
as suggested. It skipped all the
previously downloaded files, added
several more and completed that part
in a minute or so. The upgrade was
rebooted and it is presently
installing 3821 files.
Hopefully this will succeed, I will
report the result later this morning.
Thanks for the help,
Bob

Yes, that appears to have worked as
expected, removing gedit to eliminate
the conflict there was the key. Once
updated I let dnf install the proper
version of gedit. All I've tried so far
has worked so it looks good to go. I did
change the desktop background to plain
#0000ff blue. That was my secondary
computer, I'll try this one when I feel
more courageous ...
Thanks to all,
Bob
