For printing, HP tends to use TCP port 9100 for > their "JetDirect" protocol, but also can use "ipp" (TCP/UDP port 631). I can't see why the firewall should suddenly start blocking a specific address, that is the printers IP-address. Besides A can ping all devices that B can except the printer. In A's firewall, there is no rule that is specific for the printer IP-address. I have been using this printer/scanner for a over two years from machine A without a problem. I would appreciate more tips. > ---------------------------------------------------------------------- > - Rick Stevens, Systems Engineer, AllDigital ricks@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx - > - AIM/Skype: therps2 ICQ: 226437340 Yahoo: origrps2 - > - - > - Grabel's Law: 2 is not equal to 3--not even for large values of 2. - > ---------------------------------------------------------------------- > -- Regards Jon Ingason _______________________________________________ users mailing list -- users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to users-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
