Allegedly, on or about 24 April 2017, Jon Ingason sent: > I was installing the printer (P) on B with HP Device Manager (HPDM) > and that went well. Then I started HPMD on A and the printer icon > showed up in HPMD, but the printer and scanner didn't show up. Refresh > didn't helped either. The I removed the printer and tried to install > it again. Got message "HPLIP cannot detect printers in your network." My first suspicions would start with random software/hardware stuff-up, so asking the obvious questions: Have you restarted the network on the problem computer? Have you rebooted the problem computer? Have you power-cycled the printer? And regarding the ping tests, did you use numerical IPs or hostnames? -- [tim@localhost ~]$ uname -rsvp Linux 3.9.10-100.fc17.x86_64 #1 SMP Sun Jul 14 01:31:27 UTC 2013 x86_64 Boilerplate: All mail to my mailbox is automatically deleted, there is no point trying to privately email me, I only get to see the messages posted to the mailing list. Computers are like dentists. They have their uses, but they're both bloody pains. _______________________________________________ users mailing list -- users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to users-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
