Hi.
the problem is solved, now, by using of a different vweb camera :-).
.
However, I read at http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/html_single/Webcam-HOWTO/#HARDWARE, that to use a Web camera need to exist a video device in /etc directory... (/ dev / video0).
In my previous attempts I tried this way without success ..., and now I can also see that the web camera works perfectly even without the video node (the file / dev / video0).
I understand what are the device nodes, and now, I would like to understand because the web camera it can work without this file (i.e I'd like to understand how things go exactly.).
Any help to understand this matter will be appreciated.the problem is solved, now, by using of a different vweb camera :-).

Hi,
I am trying to set my computer to use a web camera (this function doesn't work actually with cheese, for example).
With this program (cheese) I can see images by the camera, but when I shot an image, then the image that appears in the window of shot images is blank...
I read the document The Webcam HOWTO (at http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/html_single/Webcam-HOWTO/ ) and I tried to do what wrote there, but I hadn't success...
Can I get an concrete help to achieve my purpose ?
Thank you
Angelo
work with whatever desktop environment you're using. I Googled for the name and found this: http://dos1.github.io/kamerka/which points to a download location.
