Even in the BIOS? It's all a bit hazy now (I'm getting old), but IIRC
this machine (dubbed "prophead") defaulted to the nVidia for the BIOS
display when I put it in and I had to hook my monitor up to the nVidia
via its DVI input to talk to the BIOS. I think I then told the BIOS to
use the Intel by default and the nVidia has been relegated to Cuda and
OpenCL development ever since. Prophead is a Gigabyte mobo if that's
any help:

I think the one at home (called "hamster") is also a Gigabyte (might be
an Asus, can't recall offhand. "They were so big, and it was dark...").

Digging around in my drawers (desk, not apparel), I found a GTX750Ti
card sitting around. I guess I'll go home and slap that into hamster
and see what's what.

Prophead does have kernel 4.5.7-202.fc23.x86_64 still on it. Not sure
about hamster, but I'll have a look. They were both upgraded from F23,
but so was the laptop (which is named "golem", by the way).

Thanks for the hints, although it'd be rather nasty to stay on an old
kernel.
