There is no conjecture in what I said whatsoever.  It is purely a fact.  Remember that the original question was "Does it work with fvwm?" and "Hm, not really useful when it doesn`t work with existing WMs ...".  I was merely pointing out that Wayland is just a protocol.  Adding support for the protocol is done within the window managers and not the other way around.

Those two things are not in conflict.  If they do so, it would their responsibility to do the porting and maintain them.  Noone suggested that we should force them.
