This is a yum install but I will look into that.

If you have DKMS installed it will automatically update the modules when
a new kernel
in installed. Works great for me.

 From the doc referenced above.

*Note:* Users of Fedora/Mandriva might want to install
the *dkms* package (not available on openSUSE) to ensure that the
VirtualBox host kernel modules
(/vboxdrv/, /vboxnetflt/ and /vboxnetadp/) are properly updated if the
linux kernel version changes during the next kernel update.

I can't say that it always works for me, so I'm in the habit of using
the "setup" command to force the recompile after a kernel update.

I have virtualbox and dkms both yum installed, started dkms, but the command "service vboxdrv setup" doesn't work:

[root@box10 bobg]# service vboxdrv setup
Redirecting to /bin/systemctl setup vboxdrv.service
Unknown operation 'setup'.

So I assume the virtualbox.org version has features not in the yum version?

Virtualbox does work with the previous kernel and I was able to create a WindowsXP install that appears to work.

The Centos Live Spin that I had runs but will not install from the desktop icon? I stopped at that point.
