with static adresses? never!
sounds like DHCP, this slows down boot dramatically

i have here a lot of physical machines booting in
around 20 seconds with all sort of services active
the normal user even does not know

virtual machines with F17 are booting within 4.5-18 seconds
NM is the first package i decativate/uninstall since it exists
