I have it up and running beautifully..here is the relevant bits from my xorg.conf - Section "ServerLayout" Identifier "Default Layout" Screen 0 "aticonfig-Screen[0]" 0 0 InputDevice "Keyboard0" "CoreKeyboard" InputDevice "Synaptics" "CorePointer" EndSection -----snip----- Section "InputDevice" Identifier "Synaptics" Driver "synaptics" Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice" Option "Protocol" "auto-dev" Option "Emulate3Buttons" "yes" Option "LeftEdge" "120" Option "RightEdge" "830" Option "TopEdge" "120" Option "BottomEdge" "650" Option "FingerLow" "14" Option "FingerHigh" "15" Option "MaxTapMove" "110" Option "VertScrollDelta" "20" Option "HorizScrollDelta" "20" Option "MinSpeed" "0.3" Option "MaxSpeed" "0.75" Option "SHMConfig" "True" EndSection ---snip--- You seem to be missing the "CorePointer" bit in "ServerLayout" You don't need to use tpconfig or anything else - just use yum and have synaptics, libsynaptics and gsynaptics installed. The only thing I did notice about your xorg.conf is that you seem to be missing a space between "SHMConfig" "True". I don't know if that makes a difference or not -> Option "Emulate3Buttons" "yes" Option "SHMConfig""true" EndSection Hope this helps you out!
