On my machine with HD5770 manufactured by Gigabyte I have no problem with kernel 2.6.34.14 from Fedora or with vanilla 2.6.35-x As rv280 is an old GPU (2002) and as futur is power management, can I suggest to add a kernel command line option to disable power management but let power management enable by default ? This will allow people with no problem to continue to test it and people with problem to disable it.
