Shade just collapses the window into the title bar. I find it
useful
when I get into some projects as I have many different windows
open

different virtual desktops and I need to just get the window out

minimizing it to the taxk panel.
I see. Yes, it does seem to work on KDE with Evolution (and
Firefox).

An update today.
I had to install the rpmfusion drivers for the graphics acceleration
and
due to the one drive not working in Wayland, I had to use X11. As it
turns out, some of the issues I was having with GTK apps now work in
X11.
Shade works in all apps that I have tried. :)
So that would appear to be a Wayland issue, unlike the behaviour I was
commenting on originally.

So you are using X11 and not Wayland? If you are not using X11, then it
would be something to try.
I had other issues and they only seem to be related to Gnome based apps
GTK based apps, not the QT ones. This was the most obvious for me.
