On X11 I see the Shade option both in the System Settings panel and
with a right-click on the title bar. As it's not something I ever
use I
can't say if it works properly (I've no idea what it's supposed to
do
and can't find any documentation on it).

Shade just collapses the window into the title bar. I find it useful
when I get into some projects as I have many different windows open
on
different virtual desktops and I need to just get the window out
without
minimizing it to the taxk panel.
I see. Yes, it does seem to work on KDE with Evolution (and Firefox).
This is with X11.

An update today.
I had to install the rpmfusion drivers for the graphics acceleration and
due to the one drive not working in Wayland, I had to use X11. As it
turns out, some of the issues I was having with GTK apps now work in X11.
Shade works in all apps that I have tried. :)
