Yes, due to recent f33 sddm update (most likely), being tracked here:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1922772

(I didn't see that mentioned yet in the thread)

I'll probably look into reverting to an older iteration of our xauth patch 
that didn't suffer from this problem.  stay tuned...
