Probably you are referring xev. :-)


X11 events.

I am also using plasma and I have no issue with dead keys, in my Portuguese keyboard pressing �+e gives �s it should so all is working for me.

The issue here is for a user that is not using plasma but mate and so the kcmshell5 is not an option.


The user already has ibus-qt installed...
