Adjusting the height was the first thing I tried.  They remain small when I increase the
height of the panel.

The images I posted don't quite do the situation justice.  The laptop is a 1280x800
display while my desktop is 2560x1440.

Previously the icons were about twice the size as they are now and were almost the height
of the panel.  Wish I had, or could find a snapshot I took of my desktop a while ago.
