Hummmm... they look about the same size to me. The difference appears to be the height of your panel. Try adjust it up and down. You'll notice that when you reach a certain height, the kicker icon will resize. If you are in between levels, you'll notice more whitespace. You also might consider putting the systray icons in multiple rows. I have my height set to just where it clicks into multiple rows... IMO that gives the best look and minimizes empty whitespace.
