Ok, after yesterday's update to Plasma 5.5.4-1 and recreating my wallet, kwallet seems to work better. However, it's a bit confusing that Fedora 22 has both KWalletManager and KWalletManager4 installed (KDE Menu > System). KWalletManager4 (in About) says "Version 2.0", using KDE Development Platform 4.14.14. KWalletManager (in About) says "Version 15.12.1", using KDE Frameworks 5.18.0, Qt 5.5.1 and the xcb windowing system. Apparently kdedaemon uses KWalletManager4, not KWalletManager !!! I can see this by opening a Network Place with fish: - Now KWalletManager4 tells me that the wallet 'kdewallet' is currently open and has one password. - OTOH, KWalletManager tells me that the wallet 'kdewallet' is currently closed So it must be that the 2 kwallet manager versions use different DBs of the same name (and I guess different DB locations). Can anybody shed some light on what's going on here? Does anyone successfully use the newer KWalletManager? Cheers, - Fredy _______________________________________________ kde mailing list kde@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.fedoraproject.org/admin/lists/kde@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
