I'd never thought of using Okular, but now I'm giving it a try. I must admit I'm puzzled about where exactly the choice is made: Is it in System Settings=>File Associations ? Or is it in Firefox=>Edit=>Preferences=>Applications ? Or is it somewhere else? I see that in Firefox Preferences there are 2 relevant entries: PDF Document -> xpdf Portable Document Format (PDF) -> Use Okular (default) What is the difference between these? And which is followed? Incidentally, how can one tell which PDF reader is being used if one browses to a PDF file? >From the look of the page, it seems as though I'm using xpdf to view PDF files. (I've set Applications/PDF to Okular in System Settings=>File Associations but this doesn't seem to have any effect in Firefox. -- Timothy Murphy e-mail: gayleard /at/ eircom.net tel: +353-86-2336090, +353-1-2842366 s-mail: School of Mathematics, Trinity College Dublin _______________________________________________ kde mailing list kde@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/kde New to KDE4? - get help from http://userbase.kde.org
