(rules out configuration issue). Oh, another troublemaker is PackageKit-qt-0.3.15-1.fc10 that landed in updates-testing yesterday. It was inadvertantly built against qt-4.5.0, and causes keyboard related issues (another wierd one) for folks with only qt-4.4.x installed.
