The only "problem" I am aware of is use of MS symbol fonts in PDF files.
Symbol is not a unicode font and needs to be special-cased in PDF readers
for things to work long-term.

All the other bits in MS fonts use standard codepoints and should be
substituted cleanly (if you find problems there open bugs against
liberation and crosscore fonts)
