Hi, first: Thank you very much for your work on the Mageia package, Joseph! My package would be impossible without this work. I also recognized the horrible project "management" by IRAF developers, hell of bundled libs and official source doesn't compile without modifications. This is also the reason why I don't want to maintain an official Fedora package for IRAF right now. There really have to be some changes upstream, github would be a very nice place for this. I also got some similar information from Ole Streicher (Debian packager) some time ago.
