+1 for that.
I'm at the stage where I want to try out some of the new features
in the dev. version, but would like to use RPMs.
I'm relatively experienced in building RPMs, but it would be nice
to not have to work it out myself! :)
It would be doubly nice to be able to do something like "make rpm"
from the git checkout!! :) :)
R.
You can.
The basic short instructions are, "follow the git checkout steps",
and then run "make". Make will generate both the source
and noarch RPMs for you, with no arguments.
I've added this page ...
<https://fedorahosted.org/cobbler/wiki/QuickDevelRpmBuildGuide>
... which is short and direct. It took me 10 minutes to write it, but
about two hours to figure it out, so perhaps it is of benefit to
others. :-)
