Simply removing the files will likely not work, at a minimum you must
get the fedora-logos and fedora-release srcs and unpack, edit/replace
the image files and re-roll the RPMS.  Not too hard, just a little
tedious, fedora-logos is filled with images in various directories,
fedora-release has just two.

Hi Krishnan,

have you tried 'rpm -qf /usr/share/backgrounds/default.png'? Other files
(like config-files) also belong to packages, just try the command on
those files too :)
