I wrote that. You're reading that correctly. That patch won't apply to rh7.3. I do know that driver disks worked in 7.3, but I never tried to load them from the cdrom. I couldnt' find any really decent hints about doing that either. http://www.redhat.com/archives/anaconda-devel-list/2006-July/msg00005.html Take a look through the messages on tty3 and see what it complains about. That stuff is also saved to a file in the /tmp directory until the end of the install. Grep through it for driver disk. It may be expecting a partition to end in a number or it may need you to specify /dev/hda instead of just hda.
