And since loader's HTTP logic doesn't accept HTTP redirects, we cannot specify an alternate location for updates.img using Apache configuration. This is something we have a bug (91488) and IT (72054). PM said it wouldn't be considered until RHEL 5. I assume that with Anaconda getting yum integration, you'll be using the urlgrabber libraries for downloading things.
