Hi.

The following device:

was tested and works regularly in MS Windows but it doesn't with both my Lenovo
PC desktop and my old netbook Acer Aspire One. It does not work with
headphones: no sound heard. Nor does it work with microphone, that is the
purpose for what I bought it. I plug the card it into the USB port of my PC
and plug a 3.5mm jack microphone into the `mic' input of the card. It is shown
in lsusb:

$ lsusb

and also in arecord:

$ arecord --list-devices
**** List of CAPTURE Hardware Devices ****
card 1: Generic [HD-Audio Generic], device 0: ALC662 rev3 Analog [ALC662 rev3 Analog]
  Subdevices: 0/1
  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0

  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 2: Device [USB PnP Sound Device], device 0: USB Audio [USB Audio]
  Subdevices: 1/1
  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0

Besides, I run alsamixer, select the USB card and unmute and set the volume of
the the `capture' input. But then, when I try to record, no sound is recorded.
I do:

 $ sox -t alsa hw:2,0 output.wav

, or

 $ arecord -f S16_LE -D hw:2,0 -r 96000 test.wav

, or also within Audacity I press the red button after selecting the USB card
as input device. But nothing, my voice is not recorded and not even the usual
wave forms are shown. Please help whoever can.

Thanks,

Rodolfo
