As per a suggestion on StackExchange i tried installing pulseaudio (and all of it's X11 dependencies ;), but that didn't help either. Pulling it all the way "up" yields the good result i posted graphically. > What is the product name? And what does > http://www.cmedia.com.tw/support say to this issue? I don't remember what was printed on the packaging, I had the adapter in my bin full of stuff for quite a while (2+ years). I have to admit I haven't asked the vendor, as http://www.cmedia.com.tw/support/os_support_mapping shows (as always) no official support for linux. Which, as always, let's me assume the worst ("Sorry, but....."). Thanks for your thoughts on this, Christian (also from Hamburg ;). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Alsa-user mailing list Alsa-user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/alsa-user
