Headphone sound only working after suspend

Hi,

I'm not familiar with Alsa and I also don't know whether I'm at the
right place for my problem here.

Basically everything is working fine except for I got no sound in my
headphones on boot. Strangely the sound appears when I suspend and resume.

I am using Alsa without Pulse and the only adjustment I made was to add
"options snd_hda_intel index=1" into /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf.
This was required to make Alsa not select HDMI output as default. To be
honest I'm not quiet sure what this line exactly does as "cat
/proc/asound/modules" gives

  0 snd_hda_intel
  1 snd_hda_intel

which is confusing to me. While this may not be related to the actual
problem I'd be thankful if somebody could explain to me what "options
snd_hda_intel index=1" exactly does.

The output of alsa-info.sh can be found here

Thank you for any support

Benjamin
