Powercolor HDX 7.1 (CMI8888)r

Recently purchased a powercolor HDX 7.1 sound card.

I did check to see if the CMI8888 chip is supported first however no sound
output. 

It shows with both alsamixer and within pulse audio as working.

Testing with aplay:

And no sound .

I have checked alsamixer to see if muted or defaulting to digital output

I am lost at what else to check. The card also runs with windows 7 default
hda driver.

Running Mageia 5 kernel 4.1.13 (x64)
