Note that amongst other things, this patch removes the ability to pass 
the "nrpacks" parameter to the snd-usb-audio driver, but I would tend to 
think that the cracks/jitter have to do due with the new URB allocation 
code. In fact, I can confirm that running the predecessor tree 
(e8bc994), the phenomenon doesn't happen, with or without this parameter.

Now again, as said in my previous email, my observations are essentially 
valid for this specific version of xmbc. aplay, sox, and all other audio 
apps I have toyed with to playback 24/192 content are subject to similar 
cracks/jitter, whatever the kernel.
