I haven't seen the lsusb output, but my crystal ball tells me that that descriptor has a descriptor subtype of 0xf1, which is not a standard MIDI header. I'm writing a patch to allow the driver to detect these Roland descriptors automatically, but if you want to get this device to work quickly, add a FIXED_ENDPOINT quirk with the correct bitmasks (in the f1/02 descriptor, the last two bytes specify the number of input and output ports).
