hm could I just rebuild the alsa-usb module and add the quirk there?
Don't really want to go the whole kernel route.
But thanks in advance,
Immanuel

Please follow the instructions on this page to build a new kernel, which
is not as complicated as it may sound like:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelTeam/GitKernelBuild
In step 2, instead of the command mentioned, please take the following one:
git clone -b sd-50 git://github.com/zonque/linux.git
This will pull the sources from my repository, which has a patch for
this device.
And in step 3, you can skip the optional second part, and also step 6 is
not necessary.
Please let me and the list know if that new kernel works for you.
Best,
Daniel
