Re: Odd problem with MIDI controller

If I plug in my MIDI controller (Yamaha MO8) *after* Yoshimi has been
started, it connects via Jack patchbay perfectly. But if I have my
MIDI controller plugged in at boot, it shows up in the patchbay
So the driver works correctly.

but won't connect
Which patchbay is this? You should try to find out what software is
responsible for making the connection automatically.
Qjackctl and aj-snapshot, and manual connection qjackctl, all the same.
Does it work if you try to make the connection with the aconnect command-
line tool? (That one does not support Jack; if that is the problem, your
problem is not with ALSA.)
Finally got the time to try it.  aconnect fails, saying:
Connection failed (Resource temporarily unavailable)
