Odd problem with MIDI controller

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

If I plug in my MIDI controller (Yamaha MO8) *after* Yoshimi has been started, it connects via Jack patchbay perfectly.  But if I have my MIDI controller plugged in at boot, it shows up in the patchbay but won't connect, I have to unplug and replug before it will connect.  The same thing happens with a Yamaha UX16 USB/MIDI port.  Have replaced the USB ports as well, and have tried different jackd timing configurations and raw/seq too.

A rather wise Gentoo user on another list suggested that I try a rmmod and modprobe of snd_usb_audio, and that has worked, I have put it in /etc/rc.local on my Arch Linux.  But I'd like to report it as a bug to the Arch folks.

Ideas anyone?
