We have isolated an ALSA bug in the snd_aloop system that causes a kernel panic in a predictable replicable fashion.
However, the ALSA website bug tracker is offline and has been for weeks.
I
decided to try to join the alsa-devel mailing list. I posted a notice
about this, but it was marked "Moderated" and nobody is doing anything
about it so it has been a couple weeks. I hope that someone will see this by posting here (hopefully this works).
Here are the details about the bug:We need snd aloop fixed because it is kernel panic'ing. It has to do with losing connection to aloop on suspend and then trying to re-access it on wake. In the ticket above, I've added a photo of the kernel panic at that link.
Obviously there should not be a link to a non-existing bug tracker also…
